On March 13, 2009, a big forum on Political Options for Peace in Mindanao conducted by the Bangsamoro secretariat at the CCSPC gym .

Ustadz Abdulkadir Abubakar leads the opening prayer and the participants also joined in the prayer.

Participants were the faculty, staff and students of this college and the different communities of Cotabato City
This forum aimed to localize and popularize the campaign for UN managed/supervised/facilitated referendum and its options in the areas of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the contiguous areas predominantly occupied by the Bangsamoro People.

Alvaro O Senturias, Jr. was one of the speakers, spoke about the referendum and its options. MPPM has planned to conduct a non-binding referendum only in the areas of the ARMM.
The MPPM-Bangsamoro secretariat seeked to invite official from the regional legislative assembly (RLA ) to inform them the proposal on non-binding referendum.
Fortunately, this forum, the ARMM leadership sent no less than the general secretary of the RLA and he was the second speaker. He welcomed the idea of non-binding referendum in the ARMM. He said he will bring that issue in the RLA. The Bangsamoro secretariat of the MPPM has to double their works to find ways and means to pursue this excellent idea.
After the speech of the two speakers, many questions raised during the open forum.
The open forum was facilitated and moderated by Abdulgani Gonie Yusop, Bangsamoro secretariat member.
The forum was closed through a closing message of the president of faculty and staff association of the CCSPC. He inspired the participants.
The whole forum was facilitated by Sunny Jumuad, Bangsamoro secretariat member.
